Bella Center station on the M1
Bella Center is a Copenhagen Metro station on an elevated viaduct in Ørestad, served by the M1. It opened in 2002 and sits in zone 3 of the regional fare system.
The Bella conference centre stands beside the station and hosts events ranging from summits and trade fairs to flea markets. Part of the same complex is the Bella Sky hotel, whose two tilted towers and façades patterned in black and white are typical of the experimental architecture that has shaped Ørestad. A short distance from the hotel lies VM Bjerget, a housing complex completed in 2008; soon afterwards it was voted the world’s top housing project at an architecture event held in Barcelona.
On the M1, Sundby is 1 minute back down the line and Ørestad is 2 minutes further on.
Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
