Vanløse station on the M1
Vanløse is a Copenhagen Metro station at street level in Vanløse, served by the M1 and M2. It opened in 2003 and sits in zone 2 of the regional fare system.
Vanløse marks the western end of both the M1 and the M2, and the metro platforms sit right beside the S-train station. That pairing turns a calm residential suburb into a busy interchange: passengers switch between the two rail systems here, and frequent metro services run on towards central Copenhagen. Locally, Vanløse Torv is a pleasant square for a wander, while Vanløse Kulturstation puts on theatre and concerts. Shoppers can head for the Kronen centre, which is linked directly to the platform’s eastern end, so there is no need to go out onto the street.
On the M1, Flintholm is 1 minute further on.
Vanløse is an interchange: the lines meet inside one station, so changing between them means walking across a platform or riding one escalator — there is nothing to tap again and nothing more to pay.
This is the end of the M1. Trains reverse here, so you can always get a seat if you board at Vanløse.
