Nørreport station on the M1
Nørreport is a Copenhagen Metro station below ground in the middle of Copenhagen, served by the M1 and M2. It opened in 2002 and sits in zone 1 of the regional fare system.
is Denmark’s busiest station. Here, the city’s many passengers can switch between The Metro, train and bus. The station’s large toadstools sprout up in the heart of the city centre between green breathing spaces such as the Botanical Gardens, Ørstedsparken and Kongens Have or major attractions such as the crown jewels at Rosenborg Castle or Thyco Brahe’s old observatory Rundetårn. Just 100 metres from Nørreport Station you’ll find Israels Plads and the delicious food market TorvehallerneKBH, which has more than 60 different stalls.

On the M1, Forum is 1 minute back down the line and Kongens Nytorv is 2 minutes further on.
Nørreport is an interchange: the lines meet inside one station, so changing between them means walking across a platform or riding one escalator — there is nothing to tap again and nothing more to pay.
Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
