Poul Henningsens Plads station on the M3

Poul Henningsens Plads is a Copenhagen Metro station below ground in Østerbro, served by the M3. It opened in 2019 and sits in zone 1 of the regional fare system.

At Poul Henningsens Plads, stairs and lifts take you directly up to the intersection where Jagtvej, Strandboulevarden and Østerbrogade meet. The neighbourhood offers cosy squares and streets, and if you have other cultural needs, Østre Gasværk Theatre is just a few minutes’ walk from the square. If you’re more into sports and activity, you’ll also find facilities such as Svanemøllehallen, Østerbro Skøjtehal, Idrætshuset and Østerbro Stadion in the area around the metro station.

For those who love to read, the station is also next door to the over 100-year-old building where Øbro Jagtvej Library is located. If you walk up Østerbrogade instead, you’ll also find beautiful old buildings in the composer neighbourhood. Many of the building association houses have been there for more than 125 years, and you’ll find the nice, quiet neighbourhood about 500 metres from Poul Henningsens Plads.

On the M3, Trianglen is 2 minutes back down the line and Vibenshus Runddel is 1 minute further on.

Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
