Poul Henningsens Plads is a Copenhagen Metro station below ground in Østerbro, served by the M3. It opened in 2019 and sits in zone 1 of the regional fare system.
Stairs and lifts lead straight up from the platform to the junction of Jagtvej, Strandboulevarden and Østerbrogade. Around it lies a neighbourhood of pleasant streets and squares. Østre Gasværk Theatre is a short walk away for anyone looking for culture. Those who would rather be active have plenty of choice close to the metro, with Idrætshuset, Østerbro Stadion, Svanemøllehallen and Østerbro Skøjtehal all nearby.
Book lovers will find Øbro Jagtvej Library right beside the station, in a building more than a century old. Head up Østerbrogade instead and after about 500 metres you reach the Composer Quarter (Komponistkvarteret), a calm residential area of handsome older buildings, many of them housing-association homes that have stood for over 125 years.
On the M3, Trianglen is about 3 minutes back down the line and Vibenshus Runddel is about 1 minute further on.
Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
