Mozarts Plads station

Mozarts Plads is a Copenhagen Metro station below ground in Sydhavn, served by the M4. It opened in 2024 and sits in zone 2 of the regional fare system.

Lifts and escalators bring you up from the platforms into the centre of old Sydhavn, a part of town with a strong local character. On the square, children often play around the fountain while grown-ups talk over coffee. Small shops, cafés and relaxed places to eat line the surrounding streets. Karens Minde Kulturhus, a short walk from the station, puts on activities and events of every size throughout the year, and the children’s farm Børnenes Dyremark is nearby too.

Both lie within Karens Minde Aksen, a green corridor where a winding path beneath large trees makes for an easy stroll. Keep following the paths and you reach Sydhavnstippen, another stretch of nature, where sheep and alpacas wander freely and there are fine views over the water. From there you can walk on into Valbyparken, which continues on directly from Sydhavnstippen.

Inside the station, a vast mural by the artist Christian Schmidt-Rasmussen covers the walls. Its abstract and local figures hide small stories that reveal themselves on closer inspection, encouraging passengers to explore the whole station while they wait.

On the M4, Sluseholmen is 2 minutes back down the line and København Syd is 2 minutes further on.

Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
