Skjolds Plads station on the M3
Skjolds Plads is a Copenhagen Metro station below ground in outer Nørrebro, served by the M3. It opened in 2019 and sits in zone 1 of the regional fare system.
Skjolds Plads puts you straight into the Mythological Quarter of Nørrebro, where streets and alleys take their names from Norse myths and legends, as Odinsgade and Heimdalsgade show. Popular bakeries, traditional pubs and relaxed cafés and restaurants fill the neighbourhood, and plenty of them are clustered around the square directly over the station.
On the far side of Tagensvej, Baldersgade leads straight to Balders Plads. It is a good setting for families: children can burn off energy on the playground and ball court while adults have a coffee, and the square sometimes hosts live music and flea markets.
On the M3, Vibenshus Runddel is about 1 minute back down the line and Nørrebro is about 1 minute further on.
Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
