Havneholmen station on the M4
Havneholmen is a Copenhagen Metro station below ground in Havneholmen, by the harbour, served by the M4. It opened in 2024 and sits in zone 1 of the regional fare system.
Fisketorvet, a well-known shopping centre, sits right on the square outside Havneholmen station, with plenty of shops, a cinema and restaurants for every taste. Beyond it is the harbour bath, where people of all ages cool off during the warmer months. Head up the road from the station square towards Dybbølsbro and you can switch to other public transport, carry on to Kødbyen or drop in at the large new IKEA, which now stands a few hundred metres away. The harbour bath, the shops and the cinema make this a stop with plenty to do.
Go the opposite way instead, along the path directly across the road from the station’s main stairs, and you reach the small harbour at Skibbroen. Houseboats lie moored between newer apartment buildings, and there are spots to enjoy a coffee beside or even on the water. Inside the station, the artist group SUPERFLEX has played with time and space, rearranging familiar station elements in unexpected ways.
So when you pass through Havneholmen, take a moment to look around.
On the M4, København H is 3 minutes back down the line and Enghave Brygge is 1 minute further on.
Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
