About the M2 line
The M2 is the yellow line and the one most visitors meet first, because it is the line that serves Copenhagen Airport. It opened with the M1 in 2002 and reached the airport in September 2007. From Vanløse it follows exactly the same route as the M1 through Frederiksberg and the city centre as far as Christianshavn, then swings east across Amager past Amager Strandpark and out to Lufthavnen.
The airport station sits at the end of Terminal 3, a two-minute walk from arrivals, and the ride into the middle of town takes about 14 minutes with no change. The eastern half of the line is above ground, so the stretch from Øresund to Kastrup is one of the better free views in Copenhagen — beach on one side, aircraft on the other.
Change to the M3 at Frederiksberg, to the M3 and M4 at Kongens Nytorv, and to S-trains at Vanløse, Flintholm and Nørreport. The whole line takes 24 minutes.
