Flintholm station on the M1
Flintholm is a Copenhagen Metro station on an elevated viaduct in Flintholm, Frederiksberg, served by the M1 and M2. It opened in 2004 and sits in zone 2 of the regional fare system.
Flintholm is a major interchange: every day thousands of travellers change here between the metro, S-trains, mainline trains and buses as they head into or out of Copenhagen. The neighbourhood marks the point where the suburbs give way to the city, with residential streets turning into more urban blocks of flats. Grøndalsparken, a long green corridor linking Vanløse and Nørrebro, runs right beside the station.
On the M1, Vanløse is 1 minute back down the line and Lindevang is 1 minute further on.
Flintholm is an interchange: the lines meet inside one station, so changing between them means walking across a platform or riding one escalator — there is nothing to tap again and nothing more to pay.
Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
