Frederiksberg station on the M1
Frederiksberg is a Copenhagen Metro station below ground in central Frederiksberg, served by the M1, M2 and M3. It opened in 2003 and sits in zones 1 / 2 of the regional fare system.
Right next to Frederiksberg Centre is the original metro station, which is part of the M1 and M2 metro lines. With the opening of The M3 line, Frederiksberg got an additional station, which now connects the existing Metro with The M3 line. Both stations are connected by a pedestrian tunnel, making it quick and easy for you to switch between the different lines. The walls of the new station are clad in Norwegian slate in grey colours – as is also the case for Kongens Nytorv – to show that you can switch between the M3 line M3 Cityring and the other metro lines.
On the M1, Fasanvej is 1 minute back down the line and Forum is 2 minutes further on.
Frederiksberg is an interchange: the lines meet inside one station, so changing between them means walking across a platform or riding one escalator — there is nothing to tap again and nothing more to pay.
Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
