Kastrup station on the M2
Kastrup is a Copenhagen Metro station on an elevated viaduct in Kastrup, Tårnby, served by the M2. It opened in 2007 and sits in zone 4 of the regional fare system.
Denmark’s Aquarium, Den Blå Planet, opened in 2013 with a fantastic location right next to Øresund and equally fantastic architecture. It’s about a 600 meter walk from Kastrup Metro Station to the aquarium, and if you follow the blue wave benches, you’ll be led directly into the large aquarium, which houses thousands of animals from all over the world frolicking in the aquarium’s seven million liters of azure blue saltwater.
In addition to puffins and hammerhead sharks, Kastrup Station is also close to the Kastrup Farm Art Museum, an old country house now furnished as a museum with modern graphics and contemporary art.
On the M2, Femøren is 2 minutes back down the line and Lufthavnen is 1 minute further on.
Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
