Trianglen station on the M3
Trianglen is a Copenhagen Metro station below ground in Østerbro, served by the M3. It opened in 2019 and sits in zone 1 of the regional fare system.
Trianglen drops you at a lively junction in Østerbro where culture, green space and sport all meet, so whichever way you set off there is something to discover. A few hundred metres along Øster Allé stands Parken, the big football stadium and home ground of FCK and of Denmark’s men’s national team. On match days the chanting of supporters, the crowds in the street and the floodlights give the area a distinctive atmosphere.
When the stadium isn’t hosting football, the noise may well come from a major concert, with the pitch turned into a dance floor for the whole neighbourhood. For a quieter kind of green, Fælledparken lies just a short walk away: a city park full of trees and birdsong, where people of every age come for walks, activities and events. It offers more than football and concerts: this is real nature in the middle of the city.
Museums, busy cafés and relaxed places to eat are also close by, and together they give this well-known Østerbro crossroads, Trianglen, its particular charm.
On the M3, Østerport is about 1 minute back down the line and Poul Henningsens Plads is about 3 minutes further on.
Trains call here 24 hours a day, every day of the year — every two minutes at rush hour, every three during the day and evening, and every 8 to 20 minutes overnight depending on the day of the week.
